Pluto’s Aquarian Return
How do we astrologers know what’s gonna happen next? We study present-day planetary cycles and look to the last time the planet was in that very same place. So, when Pluto entered Aquarius in 2023, we looked back to the last time it happened, which was between 1777 and 1798, to get a glimpse of the essence and character of what it would bring today. In the year 1777, there was mass revolution throughout various pockets of the world. Catherine the Great was bringing change to the Russians; the French Revolution was heating up; Ireland was planting seeds for the 1798 revolution; and the USA was in revolution against the British establishment. Deep changes were happening in the foundation of the structures that held society together. Change was most definitely in the air. Ordinary people were calling for more freedom, better conditions, and lasting equality.
And so, Pluto entered Aquarius in 2024 and so far has lived up to the promise. Here we are in 2025, only one year into the transit, and everything is changing as once again revolution is on the tongue of the citizens. The rebellion against the old order is happening everywhere across the globe. This new passage of Pluto through Aquarius won’t end until 2044, so we better find some way of making the most of it. It’s never going back to the way it was.
Already, we can see great shifts in the themes that permeate society and the world in general. Once again, we have revolution; we have the people calling for equal rights and freedoms around the world, rising up against the governments that have dictated to them for so long. We also have the explosion of technology, which guarantees that the world will never be the same again. Everything is changing so fast it is difficult to keep up with it. Many of us who knew life before the internet do not recognize the world anymore.
And although this revolution is happening to us all on a global scale, astrology can pinpoint how the revolution will affect each individual in their own life. Wherever Pluto sits in your chart right now will show where you can let go of the past and embrace the new future. Pluto will be seeking freedom, revolution, and discarding all of the outworn ideas that you have held onto for too long.
